GNSS Ropeways
Many Swiss mountain railways rely on TEDAMOS GNSS solutions for the continuous long-term monitoring of their infrastructure - when may we add you to this illustrious circle?
Thawing permafrost due to global warming or other changes in the subsurface can lead to instability in mountain railways or reservoirs. The autonomous and storm-proof GNSS stations equipped with solar panels provide daily 3D positions from satellite measurements with accuracies of a few millimetres.
This enables the mountain railways to increase the safety of their installations and initiate stabilisation measures in the event of any movements in the terrain or foundations. Knowledge of the high-precision mast positions also enables the maintenance of the lifts to be optimised, which can lead to cost savings.
