Rock monitoring Vitznau

At the beginning of November 2021, two certified climbing professionals from Terradata installed several metres of cracks and temperature sensors on a vertical rock face near Vitznau (Canton of Lucerne).

To ensure the safety of the road below this section of rock, some of the crevices are being monitored fully automatically and visualised online for the client in the portal of our TEDAMOS monitoring solution.
The permanently measured air and rock temperatures help geologists to better understand the causes of the movements.
