TEDAMOS Sonic is a sound level meter and data logger designed for demanding noise monitoring applications. Equipped with a digital Class 1 MEMS microphone, the compact device provides highly accurate sound pressure level measurements in both indoor and outdoor environments.

When powered by its internal battery, the system can continuously record noise data for up to one week. With an external power supply, it is suitable for long-term operation over months or even years – making it ideal for monitoring construction noise, industrial operations and environmental noise.

Noise Monitoring in Compliance with FOEN Guidelines

In Switzerland, construction noise is regulated by the guidelines of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). TEDAMOS Sonic supports the continuous monitoring of construction noise in accordance with these requirements. Although the guidelines do not define fixed noise limits in dB, they require effective noise mitigation measures.

Monitoring provides reliable data, improves acceptance among nearby residents and serves as documented evidence of compliance with working hours and noise protection measures.

Real-Time Alerts

Custom threshold values can be defined to suit project requirements. If these thresholds are exceeded, the system automatically sends alerts via SMS or email – also in combination with vibration monitoring.

Assessments and Forecasting

Before construction begins, temporary noise measurements can help identify the most suitable construction methods – for example, cutting instead of breaking when lower noise emissions are required. For activities such as pile driving, drilling or jet grouting, monitoring data provides valuable insights for early optimisation.
