Graubünden Cantonal Hospital, new SUN building
Monitoring of the excavation pit and the existing hospital in Chur during construction
The SUN expansion project at the Cantonal Hospital of Graubünden included a new building with an underground parking garage. The excavation pit, which was up to 22 m deep, was partially adjacent to the existing ward block. In addition, a channel for energy supply was driven under the existing buildings, which house an MRI unit and an operating theater.
Automatic monitoring of the excavation pit and the surrounding buildings ensured that any movements were detected at all times.
